Before and After

One of the most fun aspects of rehabbing a house is just what we all enjoy observing on channels like HGTV.  We take a house that is old, run down, or not cared for, and turn it into a beautiful home for someone to live in. The improvements are a delight to behold! Even though only weeks or a few months may be involved, it feels like it takes forever. When the renovation is complete, and the house is ready to be sold, we marvel at how quickly the transformation took place. Because of the right workers hired and materials purchased by us, a buyer will be acquiring a home to be proud of.

That is what has happened again for Inrem Ventures in our most recent renovation. It was once a well-loved home by the former owners. We surmised that the death of a spouse left any updating as too much effort and expense for the elderly widow. Their pride in ownership was very evident, but from a different era. Inrem bought the property and moved the antiquated interior into 2017.

In the near future we will share more before and after photos. And our site will post our FSBO listing. For now, I will tease you with these two photos. The very large kitchen is shown in part. Mustard yellow cabinets with green countertops, no microwave, and inadequate lighting were changed. The kitchen now boasts the same well-built cabinets painted white with attractive hardware, a built-in microwave over the new gas cook stove, and bright ceiling lighting, in addition to the over-the-new-sink clear glass light with an Edison lightbulb. The green tiles of the old counter and backsplash have been replaced with beautiful granite and gray subway tiles. Wallpaper was removed, and there was A LOT of wallpaper in this house…every room and some ceilings! Dove gray is the color of the walls.   Dusty and dated window coverings have also been removed, and blinds are currently there instead. The flooring is all new, as are all the floors in the house. Not replacing the dishwasher and oven was decided because they were in excellent condition, so we worked with their color when purchasing additional appliances. This kitchen is begging for a cook to put his/her cooking skills to the test!
